How it works

Five steps from application to welcome.

Apply online

Complete our application form and pay the application fee ($315 domestic / $525 international). Takes about 10 minutes.

Day 1

Submit documents

Upload your child's report card (Grade 1+), proof of citizenship or residency, and any relevant assessments. Kindergarten applicants provide a preschool or daycare reference.

Day 1–7

Assessment day

Your child joins a small group session at our school. Kindergarten students do a play-based assessment. Older students do an academic assessment. Grade 8+ students also submit a short video.

Scheduled by intake

Family interview

You'll meet with our leadership team to talk about your child, your family's values, and how Pear Tree can support your goals.

1–2 weeks after assessment

Decision

We'll let you know our decision within one week. If offered a place, you'll have time to review and sign your enrollment contract.

Application fee: The $315 domestic / $525 international fee covers your child's assessment session, document review, and family interview. One-time and non-refundable.

Intake windows (2026/27)

We accept applications year-round. Formal intake windows have set assessment dates. Applications outside these windows are welcome — a $150 processing surcharge applies.

Applying from outside Canada?

Pear Tree welcomes international applicants. A limited number of places are available. International students must reside with a family member in Vancouver. At least one parent must hold a work visa or study visa. The child must have sufficient English for their grade level.

International application fee: $525.
