Brand Ambassador Overview

As a Brand Ambassador for Pear Tree School, you will play a pivotal role in creating awareness and excitement about our exceptional educational environment. Your passion and dedication will help us showcase the amazing opportunities our school provides, ensuring that families and communities recognize the unique benefits we offer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a Leading Voice of Pear Tree School: Serve as the passionate advocate and spokesperson for Pear Tree School, effectively communicating our Why, vision, mission, values, unique selling propositions (USPs), and achievements to various audiences. Promote our school’s programs, innovative teaching methods, and the remarkable achievements of our students.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with current and prospective parents, students, parents, staff, cultivating a sense of community and loyalty to the school.
  • Social Media Engagement: Utilize various marketing and communication channels, including social media, events, and community engagements. Create compelling content, engaging with followers, and sharing positive stories and updates to raise awareness and generate interest in our school.
  • Event Representation: Attend school events, both on-campus and off-campus, showcasing our school’s mission, values, and achievements, and actively engaging with attendees.
  • Student Recruitment Support: Collaborate with the admissions team to support student recruitment efforts and engage with prospective families. Participate in open houses, school tours, and admissions events, showcasing the benefits and unique opportunities available at Pear Tree School.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to compelling content creation initiatives, including blog posts, videos, testimonials, and newsletters, showcasing success stories, achievements, and the overall student experience.
  • Community Partnerships: Collaborate with local and international businesses, institutions, organizations, and community groups to establish partnerships, raise awareness, and foster community engagement with Pear Tree School.
  • Parent and Student Engagement: Strengthen relationships with parents and students, organizing events and activities that foster connections and promote ongoing involvement with our school.

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, education, or a related field would be beneficial. If your degree isn’t relevant, practical experience, skills, and a strong passion for education can also be valuable.
  • Experience: 1+ years experience in marketing, brand management, public relations, or a similar role. Experience in the education sector, particularly in promoting schools or educational programs, would be highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying our school’s mission, values, and unique offerings. You must have the ability to engage with diverse audiences, create compelling content, and present information in an engaging and persuasive manner.
  • Relationship Building: The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, including parents, students, staff, and the community, is crucial. Experience in networking, community engagement, or customer/client relationship management would be valuable.
  • Social Media and Marketing Acumen: Proficiency in social media platforms (blogs, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), content creation, and digital marketing strategies is essential for effectively promoting our school. Strong experience and ability with Hubspot’s sales and marketing system, as well as analytics and best practices, are highly desirable.
  • Metrics & Results-Driven: Strong analytical skills to measure and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, including ROI (Return on Investment) and ROAS (Return on Advertising Spend). The ability to analyze data and optimize strategies based on key metrics to ensure maximum impact and results.
  • Data-driven Decision Making: Proficiency in analyzing marketing data, conducting market research, and using insights to drive decision-making and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): In continuation from above, familiarity with Hubspot CRM system to effectively manage and track interactions with prospective and current parents, ensuring personalized and meaningful engagement.
  • Passion for Education & School’s Mission: A genuine passion for education and a belief in the transformative power of progressive and holistic approaches to learning are essential. The Brand Ambassador should be able to communicate this passion and inspire others to engage with the school’s vision and values.
  • Adaptability and Creativity: The ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and come up with creative ideas and solutions is valuable. The Brand Ambassador should be able to think outside the box, explore innovative marketing strategies, and tailor communication approaches to different audiences.
  • Team Player: Collaboration and teamwork are important aspects of the role. The Brand Ambassador should be able to work effectively with the school founders/directors, faculty, and other stakeholders to align messaging and initiatives.
  • Organized: Proactive and self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on current trends and best practices in marketing, branding, and education is desirable. Attending relevant workshops, conferences, and training programs can help enhance skills and knowledge.

Awesome extras:

  • Photography Skills: Fairly advanced photography skills to capture high-quality images of school events, activities, and student achievements.
  • Graphics Design: Proficiency in graphic design software (incl. Adobe Creative Cloud suite) and the ability to create visually appealing materials such as flyers, social media graphics, and promotional materials using software such as Canva.
  • Video Editing: Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro video editing software to create engaging video content for social media and promotional purposes.
  • Event Planning: Knowledge and experience in event planning and coordination, including organizing school events, workshops, and community outreach activities.
  • SEO and SEM: Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques to enhance the visibility of the school’s online presence and campaigns.
  • Influencer Marketing: Knowledge of influencer marketing strategies and experience in collaborating with influencers or brand ambassadors in promoting educational institutions or related fields.
  • Public Relations: Knowledge of public relations strategies and experience in managing media relations, press releases, and media coverage to enhance the school’s visibility and reputation.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly languages spoken by the diverse community in which the school operates, to effectively communicate and engage with a broader audience.
  • Storytelling: Strong storytelling abilities to convey the unique stories and experiences of students, parents, and staff through various channels, including written content, videos, and testimonials.

Working Time

This is a full-time position. You’ll generally work 8:00am to 4:00pm; however, some circumstances may require you to be at work outside of these hours (e.g. monthly open houses during admissions season), or to check your email outside of these hours.

You will be directly answerable to the Pear Tree directors, Alexis Birner and Paul Romani.

Salary & Benefits 

We offer a competitive total compensation package, with a starting salary of $35,000-$60,000/year plus benefits.

Starting pay is partially based on the range of relevant skills and experience. However, it is also based on a 3-month probation period to ensure that you are the right Brand Ambassador for our school. Results ultimately determine your salary, both short and long term.

Pear Tree offers a comprehensive benefits program, which includes dental, extended health, life insurance, long term disability, and accidental death & dismemberment.

Vacation

We offer exceptional paid vacation time, follows:

  • Winter break (~3 weeks)
  • Time before the start of summer camps (~1 week)
  • 5 x personal days, which can be taken consecutively as additional vacation days
