The Opportunity

As Brand & Community Engagement Manager, you will shape how families and community partners experience the Pear Tree brand—from their very first impression to long-term advocacy. Your mission is to amplify Pear Tree’s Why, Mission, and Vision, ensuring these values come through in every story we tell, every conversation we have, and every moment of engagement we create.

This is a multi-faceted role blending storytelling, lead nurturing, brand promotion, and community building. By supporting prospective families, gathering and sharing success stories, and increasing brand trust across touchpoints, your work will be instrumental in advancing our growth and deepening relationships.

You’ll also play a critical role in supporting the Principal by acting as a communications filter and primary point of contact for prospective families and community partners, helping streamline outreach and ensuring consistent, high-quality interactions.

What You’ll Own

Brand Champion & Storyteller

  • Promote Pear Tree’s educational philosophy and values across multiple channels.
  • Create and coordinate compelling content (blog posts, social media captions and graphics, newsletters) that engages and educates our audiences.
  • Elevate Pear Tree’s brand presence inside the school through management of reception TV slides and internal communications boards.
  • Support storytelling systems, including Seesaw checklist oversight, to ensure consistent, high-quality family communication.
  • Represent Pear Tree at open houses and community events to communicate our brand and values clearly and confidently.
  • Work with external professionals (e.g., designers, videographers, copywriters) when needed to execute high-quality content.

Relationship Builder & Lead Nurturer

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families—handling inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and care.
  • Use AI tools, CRM systems, and templated workflows to guide prospective families through a thoughtful, values-aligned lead nurturing journey.
  • Prepare prospective families for Principal-led tours and enrollment decisions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current families and external community partners.
  • Proactively support community engagement initiatives that encourage parent and student involvement and connection to the school.

Growth Driver & Advocate

  • Encourage and facilitate parent reviews, testimonials, and referrals to strengthen Pear Tree’s reputation and trust.
  • Gather and share feedback and success stories from students and parents to enrich brand storytelling and content strategy.
  • Monitor family and partner feedback channels to identify trends, advocate for improvements, and enhance the overall experience.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all touchpoints (events, digital content, outreach) reflect our values and elevate the Pear Tree experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ years in a brand, community engagement, marketing, or client-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, Seesaw, and digital communication/marketing platforms.

Reporting Structure

You’ll report directly to Alexis Birner (Principal), ensuring clear alignment, mentorship, and ownership of your role.

Probationary Period

Includes a 3-month probationary period to ensure a strong mutual fit.
