Not having a school gym means that Pear Tree School thinks outside the box and offers its students a truly DIVERSE P.E. program!

This term, one of the many activities our grade 4-7 students are doing includes Parkour (similar to Freerunning)!

Check out the photos below of our students doing parkour! We have many more on our Facebook page.

What is Parkour?

Parkour is an athletic activity of moving rapidly over obstacles in an (urban) area. This involves using running, jumping, climbing, and rolling.

As Pear Tree students already have a solid foundation in gymnastics, parkour is a perfect transition at the older grades.

Across a child’s education at Pear Tree School, they can expect to practice over 20 sports and recreational activities.

Pear Tree’s P.E. Program

Given that it is now spring time, we introduce other activities, such as volleyball, swimming, athletics, tennis, and kayaking.

The diversity of physical education programs that we offer means that there is something for everyone, whether they love team sports, individual sports, or recreational activities.
