Pear Tree Elementary students had the amazing opportunity to visit Lululemon’s Whitespace Lab this morning!
The Whitespace Lab is where specific Lululemon employees conduct extensive ‘top secret’ research into new materials and designs and how these perform on live athletes in their intended sports and environment conditions.
The Whitespace Lab is not open to the public and photos are limited to certain areas of the lab only.
During Pear Tree Elementary’s visit to Lululemon’s Whitespace Lab, students got to participate in some of the uses of specialised technology, including thermal cameras and 3D motion sensors.
This Whitespace visit is one of several field trips that Pear Tree students have attended that tie into their Sports Science theme. This multidisciplinary theme incorporates math, science, physical education, technology, art, social studies and language arts – all in context!
